Care Built Around North Miami

North Miami is our home base. Located just off the Broad Causeway, our flagship clinic is convenient to Keystone Point, Sans Souci, Biscayne Park, Arch Creek East, and Biscayne Landing. We care for people at every stage of life—from active adults managing pain or injuries to older adults who want to maintain their strength, independence, and confidence.

Many clients come to us after previous treatments provided only temporary relief. We begin by looking beyond the painful area to identify the movement patterns and contributing factors affecting how you feel and function. Your therapist then develops a focused plan with clear goals and a defined path forward. Your care may draw from multiple clinical pillars, including the McKenzie Method for back and neck pain, Myofascial Release, Running Rehabilitation, strength training, and other approaches that best support your goals.

Florida's direct-access laws allow many patients to begin physical therapy without a physician's referral, although certain insurance plans may have their own requirements. IPT offers structured self-pay programs as well as insurance-based care. HSA and FSA cards are accepted, and superbills are available for clients seeking out-of-network reimbursement.

Clients can also coordinate care across our South Florida locations. Our Wynwood clinic may be more convenient for those working near Downtown Miami, while our Aventura location serves clients farther north. Call (305) 967-8976, and our team will help you choose the location and care option that best fits your schedule.

Neighborhoods We Serve

Keystone Point

A waterfront grid of canal-front homes where nearly every driveway ends at a dock. Shoulders, low backs, and necks take a beating from boat maintenance, line handling, and hauling gear down a seawall. We see a steady run of rotator cuff irritation from this pocket alone.

Sans Souci Estates

Older mid-century homes on wide lots, many with original single-story layouts and long-tenured owners. Yard work, tile floors, and step-down entries make balance and hip strength a practical safety issue rather than an abstract one. Post-surgical clients from here usually work with our North Miami therapists until stairs feel safe again.

Griffing Park

A compact residential neighborhood of working families close to the civic center and the arts district. Most complaints we treat here come from labor and commuting rather than sport, so the plan is built around getting through a shift without pain. Sessions stay hands-on and practical.

Biscayne Gardens

Sitting on the western edge of the North Miami footprint, this area brings us multi-generational households and a lot of caregivers. The person lifting a parent often carries a back problem of their own that has waited far too long for attention. We look after both of you, and we teach transfers that protect everyone involved.

What We Commonly Treat in North Miami

North Miami's active, outdoor lifestyle can place significant demands on the body. Boating, working out, running, paddling, lifting equipment, and spending long hours on the water and outdoors can contribute to shoulder pain, lower-back discomfort, limited mid-back mobility, and hip stiffness. We help clients understand what is driving these symptoms, restore comfortable movement, and build the strength needed for the activities they enjoy.

We also work with adults managing the physical demands of family life and caregiving, as well as clients recovering from hip or knee surgeries or replacement. When traveling to the clinic is difficult, in-home concierge physical therapy allows treatment to take place in the environment where everyday challenges occur. This may include practicing stairs, transfers, balance, and other movements required at home.

Our North Miami clinic also serves students and staff from Miami Shores Barry University and FIU's Biscayne Bay Campus, run club athletes and beginners alike who train along the nearby causeways, and active adults managing overuse injuries. Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy is available for postpartum clients experiencing incontinence, pelvic weakness, pressure, pain, or other symptoms as they prepare to return to running, exercise, and daily activity.
